What is NK immune cell?

What is immune cell?

Our body is equipped with cells that protect the body by overcoming pathogens, foreign matters and virus, etc. that invades the body by resisting them, thereby controlling immunity or directly feeding on them. These are referred to as immune cells, which includes a wide range of types such as NK cell, T cell, B cell , dendritic cell and NK-T cell, etc

Do you know that?

Although countless number of cancer cells manifest every day even in a very healthy person,
-they are able to maintain their healthy conditions through the process of the seeking and exterminating them by the immune cells if the immune system operates normally.

Phatocytosis action of immune cells

Activated NK immune cells recognizes cancer cell specific antigen to directly execute phagocytosis of cancer cells or inject cytotoxic substance into the cancer cell by making a hole it its surface to induce extermination of the cancer cell. It selectively attacks only the cancer cells without attacking the normal cells of our body.

NK immune cells (Natural Killer Cell)

  • ·  Cells that has the ability to search and directly destroy only cancer cells
  • ·  Immediately reacts to cancer or infection cells to destroy them while circulating in blood
  • ·  Powerful anti-tumor and antiviral effects

Test for level of activation of NK immune cells

Immunity is assessed by looking at the NK cell activation value in the body by measuring the extent of activation of NK cell. Normal person has average level of activation of more than 500 while patients with severe inflammation or cancer has value of less than 300.
